Memory sizes have dramatically increased for notebooks thanks to low costs for the DDR2 technology. DDR3 has been released to the desktop market, and soon it will begin to reach the laptop market. If you have a notebook or are looking to purchase one, be sure to check out my article explaining what to consider for your laptop's RAM.
Everex has made a name for itself selling low cost desktop and notebook computer systems through various retail outlets such as Wal-Mart. To do this, many of their least expensive systems are based on the gOS Linux variant operating system. Of course they also sell systems with Windows. The various different software packages can cause issues for some users. Find out in my profile what type of support Everex offers their customers.
Included in the profile I list the various avenues that users have for support, some published ratings of the their product support, tips and advice. In addition, I'm posting a survery below and in the profile asking users for their opinion of Everex. If you have used their support and would like to let others know of their experiences for better or worse, please feel free to post them in the comments.
